 The new Chipper Operator Specialist workshops uses a nationally recognized curriculum to train tree care employees in hazards as well as accepted practices for brush chipper operation and other loosely associated tasks. The training program, built for crew members who often do not receive formal training opportunities, will increase employee involvement with overall safety compliance and self-policing.

This training provides the tree worker with the opportunity to earn a nationally recognized credential. The workshop includes both lecture-style training (videos & discussion) and field training (brush chipper and chipper winch set-up, operation, inspection, and troubleshooting/field maintenance). Participants receive a “Chipper Operator Specialist” enrollment and manual.

This comprehensive workshop provides training for the new and "not so new" Ground Crew.  It covers vehicle safety, job planning and preparation, working safely and efficiently, preventing struck-bys and safe felling operations.
