Chainsaw Maintenance and Safety Workshop

This workshop is to emphasize and instruct attendees in the proper safety for operating a chainsaw and the instrumental value of chainsaw maintenance in the proper safety operating procedures.
Our instructors will educate the attendees in regards to proper personal protective gear (PPE), proper operating procedures, proper starting methods, and proper maintenance procedures to facilitate proper safe operating procedures (to include procedures such as: sharpening, daily inspection procedures, spark plug replacement, and cleaning, proper fueling procedures, etc.).

Attendees will have the opportunity to use these skills on selected logs on our property; they will be able to identify chainsaw operating parts, recognize the proper PPE required to operate a chainsaw, and operate the chainsaw with a professional in attendance.

Upon completion of the Chainsaw Maintenance and Safety Workshop the attendee will receive a certificate of completion from VG Training Facility.
All instruction will follow the ANSI Z133.1 Standards!!!!- Safety First!!!

Attendee Requirements: safety helmet, safety glasses, proper clothing (no sandals, tennis shoes, short sleeves, tank shirts or shorts), over the ankle boots .If chainsaw pants or chaps are available, bring those with you: if you have your own chainsaw, bring that with you.
