This year the Michigan Tree Climbing Championship will be held at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.

In January the planning starts.

The same trees, but the events have been rearranged.  A new Master's Challenge Tree has been chosen.  A big Thank You goes out to Vince Kowalski for his knowledge and experience when evaluating the trees.  In July, these trees will be pruned and re-evaluated for safety!

A Big Thank You goes out to Kristian Schultz for his MTCC Chair guidance by telephone.

A full inspection of the ASM///MTCC Gear is scheduled for May.  The Pre-Competition Inspection of the MTCC Gear has been completed by Jeff Thierbach/Vince Kowalski and Dawn Thierbach on May 15, 2010.

There is a mini competition within the Michigan Tree Climbing Championship!  All out of town climbers will have their scores tallied separately (also) and there will be a prize package for the winner of this mini competition.  A men's mini competition and a Women's Tree Climbing Exhibition Event.  There will be a prize package for the Women's Tree Climbing Exhibition also!!

Many people have answered our call for volunteers.  Here is a list of the positions that have been filled - please telephone (810-338-6531) if you wish to volunteer.  We welcome all!!

Tree Inspection and Prune - August 7, 2010 - All pruning was completed.  It was a fabulous to climb and work with other people.

Set Up - August 20, 2010 (7 a.m. - 4 p.m.) which is to include a run through of all events.

Mandatory  Gear Inspection - August 20, 2010 - 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
